Fairest Among Men
by Amy Reschman Foote
I sat at your feet heart shattered and torn.
alone in this world, why had I ever been born?
I saw hope in your eyes as I looked up from the floor
My heart skipped a beat like never before
You picked up the pieces of my heart and began
healing and mending as only you can.
I lay crying, afraid, do I dare trust again?
Your love overtook me, my fairest among men.
Your kind, tender touch, your mercy and grace
such love and compassion all over your face
I dare, I dare I will trust again
You are my beloved my fairest among men.
